Dilansir dari akun Twitter @TheAcademy, sejumlah film, seperti The Power of the Dog, Dune, dan CODA bersaing begitu sengit. Untuk Dune sendiri, ia berhasil memboyong enam piala, di antaranya pada kategori Best Sound, Best Original Score, Best Film Editing, dan Best Production Design.
Sementara itu, CODA memperoleh tiga penghargaan, antara lain Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, serta Best Supporting Actor yang mana menjadikan Troy Kotsur sebagai aktor penyandang disabilitas pertama yang meraih Oscar.
