Pantau - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (PELNI) predicts that the peak of the Lebaran 2025 return trip will occur on April 7, 2025 (H+6 of Idul Fitri).
The number of passengers on the peak return trip is expected to exceed 25,000 people. PELNI has prepared various measures to ensure smooth operations during this period.
Since the return trip started on H+1 (April 2), the number of passengers has been increasing, with 25,430 passengers recorded on H+3.
As of Sunday, April 6, the number of tickets sold for the April 7 trip has reached 21,410 tickets.
PELNI ensures all ships are seaworthy and offers various facilities, including commercial Wi-Fi, TV channels, restaurants, clinics, and a mini theater for passenger comfort.
PELNI encourages passengers to check in via the PELNI Mobile app to avoid congestion during the boarding process at the port.
Passengers are reminded to bring valid identification documents to avoid any issues during travel.
PELNI is committed to providing maximum service, with staff available 24 hours a day to maintain cleanliness and assist passengers, especially elderly, pregnant women, or children.
PELNI has set up mudik posts at three ports: Bau-Bau, Batam, and Semarang, offering health checks and free massage services for passengers and non-passengers during the mudik period.
The busiest routes during the return trip include Medan - Batam, Bau-Bau - Makassar, Batam - Medan, Semarang - Kumai, and Makassar - Surabaya.
The busiest departure ports are Makassar, Bau-Bau, Surabaya, Ambon, and Medan, while the busiest arrival ports are Makassar, Surabaya, Batam, Balikpapan, and Bau-Bau.
PELNI is using digital channels like the PELNI Mobile app and the official PELNI website to ensure a smooth and enjoyable return trip for passengers.
